Alice Chen is passionate about the power of collaborative learning, cultivating creativity, and helping students achieve beyond their own expectations. She first entered the classroom over 20 years ago, and in addition to teaching, is also an educational consultant, freelance writer, and conference presenter. Also, she is a Google for Education Certified Innovator, KQED Teacher Ambassador, and Lead PBS Digital Innovator. During the course of her career, she has been recognized for her work in the classroom by Microsoft, PBS SoCal, UCSD, and her own colleagues when she was selected to represent her school as the 2012 Teacher of the Year.
