In this presentation we unpack the multi-faceted motivations underlying student learning. We’ll explore with real digital application examples the elements of what we call the “learnification of gaming”. Unpacking game environments as a means to ‘engage’ students is not enough, we need to be creating immersive worlds of learning for our students, using the latest award winning of Mathletics as an example. The session will explore how bridging the gap between differing student personalities and the associated learning motivations can truly inspire a love of learning.
