Dr. Jorge Velastegui has over 20 years experience in public education. He has worked as an elementary school teacher, elementary school principal, and is currently a high school Social Science teacher in the Garden Grove Unified School District. Dr. Velastegui is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of California, Irvine where he teaches courses on educational technology and instructional design. He also teaches in the Educational Technology Master's Degree program at California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Velastegui has a Master's Degree in Educational Technology Leadership from UCI and a doctorate in education from the joint UCI/UCLA program. He is passionate about the potential of educational technology to transform schools, engage students and promote higher level critical thinking skills.
