Innovation Playground
Children are hardwired to learn through play... and adults can too! Come play with electronic tools that can teach circuitry, problem solving, robotics, and coding. Participants will be able to play with tools like the Makey Makey, Little Bits, Sphero, Scratch coding, and more! Not only are these tools great for hands-on learning in a variety of subject areas and levels, but they also have extensions for coding! Get ready to play, have fun learning, and see how you can integrate these innovative tools into your classroom. Participants need to bring in their own device.

No More Boring Assessments
Assessment doesn't have to be a test. Formative or summative, there are lots of easy to use tech tools that will help you collect data and assess student learning. These free tools will help you run your classroom efficiently and students will love them. We'll play with Socrative, Kahoot, EdPuzzle, and other applications. Participants need to bring in their own device.

Google Sites for Project Management
This session will allow you to fine tune your Google skills for collaboration and project management with students. I'll teach you how to manage the creation of e-portolfio projects using Drive, share with others, monitor progress, collaborate with comments, and monitor revisions. Portfolios are CCCS related for upper grade and secondary teachers. Participants need to bring in their own device.

Real, Relevant, and Rigorous STEAM Integration
Come learn how to integrate STEAM into your existing Common Core curriculum. We will take a close look at the teacher planning process and several successful projects. Participants will also experience hands-on learning with some of our STEAM technology tools, including the Blue-bots, Dash Robots, and Makey-Makeys. STEAM shouldn't be just an add-on, learn how to make it the focal point! Leave with project ideas that you can implement in your classroom next week! Participants need to bring in their own device.
